Oscar 2019 nominations
With so many short films and blockbuster movies released in 2018 that have proved to be nothing but spectacular with the public, it’s hard to assume which titles are taking the golden Oscars awards back home.
However, everyone’s had their own predictions over the past weeks, but we already saw how Bradley Cooper’s blockbuster film “A Star is Born” featuring the one and only, Lady Gaga, took the hearts of millions of viewers around the world.
And the contemporary repositioned musical, already received the nods of approval from the DGA, WGA, PGA and SAG Ensemble made it a strong possible Oscars nominee.
Also competing for Best Picture, it stands against Alfonso Cuaron’s “Roma,” which has also been widely popular with viewers.
But in a surprising advancement for “Green Book,” the American comedy-drama film featuring Mahersala Ali and Viggo Mortensen, won Best Film at the Producers Guild Awards earlier in the week – but susprising not taking the frontline for the top Oscars nominations this year.
Other contenders that have gained popularity, especially at this year’s Golden Globes, have also turned some heads, including: The Favourite, Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody and more.
With such a variety of popular films that are predicted to headline at the Oscars this February, it’s hard to say which title is reigning champion here…
That’s why for now…it’s a waiting game to find out at the 91st Academy Awards ceremony.
